"Kentucky" Civil War era repeating rifle. 50 caliber rimless cartridge. Non functioning, tube fed through the stock, Meriden Manufacturing company was contracted for 5000 units. Many of these rifles show a Triplett & Scott patent date of 1864. This rifle "Kentucky" stamped on the right side of the receiver. This is the only marking on the firearm. It is not marked with Meriden or Triplett & Scott.This firearm is non functioning.
