Description:
Here is a rare second year production Ruger 44 Carbine with a nice looking stock. SN 51050 indicates 1962 production date according to the Ruger history of sns. It has that really neat front sight with the ivory-style bead imbedded in the front curve. Bore looks great but there a couple of small spots of minor corrosion on the upper portion of the barrel near the rear sight and where the Ruger lettering is scroll marked. There also looks to be a filled hole visible in the photos of the underside of the forend with a hairline crack.. There is a slight cutout in the wood where probably a Williams receiver site once lived. You have to look hard to see these things and the great rich mahogany color of the stock makes you dismiss these minor deficiencies quickly. The butt plate shows some minor finish wear at the heel. This looks to be a dandy representative of a very early Ruger carbine. Please see pictures as they best indicate the features and condition. Always happy to take more pics and answer all questions. I will need a USPS Money order or cashier's check and a copy of the receiving shop's FFL and the item will ship by UPS ground or USPS with tracking information sent to you as soon as it goes out the door. No returns because it is a consignment.
