This is one we certainly don't encounter often, the Heckler & Koch Model VP70-Z 9mm pistol. This model was introduced in 1970 and was produced in limited numbers until 1986. The VP70-Z is a double action only, 18-shot, 9mm pistol with a 4.5" inch barrel and a parkerized finish. The grip and receiver assembly is formed out of a almost indestrucible polymer. The VP70-Z was way ahead of it's time in both design and capacity. The VP70-Z was based off of the HK VP70M, a variant that converted to select-fire with the attachment of the factory shoulder stock assembly. The VP70-Z proved to be both reliable and tough, but was not a huge commerical success due to the size of the pistol and the stout DAO trigger. This example is serial number 92366 and it is in very good 100% original condition.
