Beretta designed the A400 Xtreme Plus Semiautomatic Shotgun in Max-5 Camo shoots 2-3/4", 3", and 3-1/2" shells interchangeably without having to make adjustments, making it an extremely versatile hunting shotgun. To hold up to long days of pounding heavy waterfowl loads, this shotgun features advanced recoil-reduction systems, such as Kick-Off and Soft-Comb stock, which reduce felt recoil by as much as 70%. The barrel is made of Steelium Plus steel with an extended forcing cone for obtaining consistently tight and uniform shot patterns. The 7x7 stepped rib has a wider plane, and fiber-optic front bead. The charging handle and bolt release are oversized to facilitate operation with cold, gloved hands; and an expanded and beveled loading port reduces thumb bite, and also facilitates operation with gloved hands. The receiver is drilled and tapped to attach a Picatinny rail (rail not included). The A400 action features a rotating bolt, and a self-cleaning piston to ensure the shotgun operates in all conditions and is low in maintenance. Under field conditions, this shotgun easily disassembles with no tools in a matter of seconds. The cross-bolt safety is positioned at the front of the trigger guard, where the hunter can find it instantaneously, and is reversible for right- and left-hand shooters. The Beretta A400 Xtreme Plus Semiautomatic Shotgun comes with five Black Edition extended choke tubes and a hard polymer case.
