Description: Judging from the long forend release and what's left of the inscription under the forend, this petite 8lb Jones underlever hammer double rifle was made by W.C. Scott in the mild 360BPE caliber, which serendipitously shoots a .357 bullet of 180-220 grains, and brass can be made from modern 9.3x72R. The bores are excellent, blueing very strong, and everything is tight. Even has quite a bit of the original case colors. The 100 yd leaf has been filed down a bit and the 200 has never been filed, it's still square! Wood is also in great shape with sharp checkering and only light marks, 14" LOP to a wood butt with nicely chiseled heel and toe plates. Two small slivers missing from the forend. Needs to be put to work on whitetails and hogs. SOLD |
