Description:
Very rare in this caliber, with its overwide steel floorplate detachable mag. Wood shows no use at all. Receiver ring not drilled, and correctly marked 338. Metal has 100% rust blue over some residual pitting. Bore is perfect and bolt face pristine. Probably stored for a long time. Even have the very cool all-wood (no plywood here!) shipping box showing the rifle shipped to a US Serviceman in Germany at the Nellingen Air Base in 1967. Shoot it please!
