Description:
This is a very early Joseph Manton percussion converted double barrel sporting gun Circa 1816
No serial numbers were used in the very early Manton guns which were of flintlock design which this gun was converted at a later date to a percussion system. The gun is in great shootable condition with tight locks ready to take into the field at a affordable price for a Manton gun.The 16 bore damascus barrels are 28 inches in length and have much of the original twist pattern visable.and is very attactive. This gunwould be a great candidate for conversion back to the flintlock ignition system giving you a double barrel Joseph Manton flintlock at a very reasonable price being these guns are seen above fiftheen thousand dollars on the web.
