Description:
S#NSN, .45-70 blank only, 14 inch barrel, bright excellent bore. This line throwing gun was converted from a model 37 Winchester by The Naval Arms Co to their "Bridger" model. This comes with original carry case, two brass projectiles, one nylon line in metal line canister, one rewinding spindle, a cleaning rod, a box of patches, and a bottle of gun oil. Also included are instructions and a letter from ATF confirming legality of this as a C+R. Gun remains in very good condition with 93% blue on metal surfaces. The forend and butstock are stamped "SCDRS" which could be the St.Clair Detroit-River System. The forend has a repaired sliver on each side. Wood shows a few scattered dings and dents from use. The case was painted blue long ago and now shows original red color in worn areas. Handle is missing a section of leather. This is an interesting variation of a model 37 that will enhance any Winchester collection. The Navel Arms Co still sells blanks, line and projectiles for this gun. FFL or C&R
