Description:
Serial #6598, .41 RF, 2 1/2" barrel with a very good, bright bore that has some mild freckling within the grooves. The barrel of this diminutive pistol retains about 40-50% of the original blue finish with two spots of gray metal flanking the barrel address, and plum-brown freckling and gray fading on the balance. The frame has traces of the original bright blue remaining with the balance turned to a dull brown patina with thin mottling throughout. Slightly more original blue remains on the facets of the breech. The combination hammer and breech-block has about 40-50% of the original fire blue remaining, mostly along the back, with mottled gray on the sides. The walnut grips are in very good shape with most of the original varnish remaining, and scattered light handling marks and small surface blemishes. The action is fully functional, and has a strong mainspring. These are scarce pistols, and are even rarer to find with any original finish remaining. This example rates fine condition overall.
