Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: Manufactured in 1902 as a blue and case-hardened .44-40 with a 7.5" inch barrel, this Colt Bisley single action was later refurbished, but retained all of it's original parts. The grips show some light wear, the screw heads are good, and the bore is very shootable with only some light corrosion. All numbers are matching and the barrel is marked "Colt Frontier Six Shooter". The underside of both grips are marked with "ALF Hume" and "A.H.", obviously a previous owner. Named for Bisley England, where the International Pistol Matches were held during the late 19th Century, the Colt Company promoted this model as a very accurate revolver that could also be carried as a holstered sidearm. While chambered in many calibers, the .44-40 Winchester is the most sought-after chambering by today's collectors.
