Description:
Colt - SAA, .38 Special, 7 ½” barrel, beautifully engraved single action army revolver with almost complete coverage of the frame, cylinder back strap, and trigger guard, the edges of the frame and cylinder are outlined with gold inlay. The gold buffalo skull on the recoil shield has silver horns, the gold rattlesnake on the back strap is crawling over a silver larret, there is a pair of gold spurs on the loading gate. The back strap has an inscription saying “to my friend Roger Conger from Romaine Fielding Christmas 1957”, Conger and Fielding were both collectors who happened to do a lot of non-gun business together. The finely carved long horn head on the right side of the ivory grips was also done by Alvin White. The case is tooled leather with a suede leather interior. Excellent condition throughout, a must have for any Alvin White collector.
