Description:
The 1909 was part of Colt's New Service series of revolvers. Adopted as a replacement for the model 1812, the 1909 would see service well into the second half of the twentieth century. This revolver has U.S. Army markings on the pistol butt and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" under barrel.
