Description:
General Specs: Sako, .284 Win, 7lbs 4oz, Chokes, LOP 13 1/4"
Serial Number: 90044

Here we have a stunning Custom mountain rifle in .284 Winchester, which has been described as the first short magnum cartridge driving a 140gr. Bullet at 3000fps.  The Sako L579 “Forrester” action is a very reputable short action bolt action known for rigidity and accuracy for the flat shooting .284.  This particular Sako was custom barreled with a light contour, 23” barrel with a goal of building a lightweight medium game, highly accurate rifle.  It is stocked in absolutely stunning, elaborately figured bird’s eye maple, with a blind magazine well, ebony forend trip and grip cap, cheek piece with shadow line, and perfect fancy borderless checkering.  The inletting has been done to perfection, and this rifle balances to English double gun standards when brought to shoulder.  Weighing in at just over 6 3/4lbs., it is a delight to carry and shoulder.  This rifle will not disappoint you, and the maple stock is a departure from the traditional walnut stocks.  Maple is very stable and checkers well to boot.  This rifle is unique and a true quality example of the gunmaker’s art.  See the specifications below.  Priced to sell, so don’t hesitate!  Thanks for looking.
