Description:
This is a very nice early model Winchester 1906, manufactured in 1906. Serial number 37199 with a smooth, non groved forend. This gun is in perfect mechanical condition with all originall parts in place. The receiver, barrel and magazine retain 80 - 85% of the original blue finilsh with only a finger sized area below the serial number on the botom of the receiver showing wear from being carried. The wood stock and ungroved forend show the expected bumps, dents and scratches from being used, but are free of any cracks, splits or chips. The wood finish is in good shape with no flakes or rubbed off areas. The origional Winchester butt plate is held in place with two engraved screws and is not chipped or cracked. All original stamping and lettering is in like new condition and has not been polished or rubbed off in any way.
This is a great little rifle in a hard to find early caliber and serial number.
