Description:
This is an exceptional Winchester 1906, made in the first year of production (1906). It is in the hard to find 22 Short caliber and has the early ungroved forend. An original Winchester Butt Plate is held in place with two engraved screws. All labeling and lettering is clean and in like new condition.
The gun retains 85% of its original blue finish on the receiver, barrel and Magazine tube. There is one small rubbed area at the bottom of the receiver, below the serial number that appears to be a carry mark. The stock finish is like new except for the normal small dings and dents from use. There are no splits, chips or cracks in the wood.
This is a very nice example of the early Winchester pumps in a hard to find early model, 22 Short caliber. This is the nicest 1906 I have ever had the pleasure of handling.
