I purchased this a few months ago from a dealer here on Gunsinternational. It's a really neat trim little 16-bore English gun that is in remarkable condition. I'm sure it has had to of been refurbished at some time in its life as the wood finish and bluing is very fresh and unblemished. Bentley & Playfair made guns under their name until 1911 at which time they became Hollis Bentley & Playfair. Well executed, nearly full coverage scroll engraving. SIdeplates inletted in place of stock panels. 1 small hairline scratch on the face side of the stock. I cannot find any other blemishes on the wood or metal. I haven't shot this gun in the brief time I've owned it. With snap caps installed everything works as it should (triggers, ejectors). Lock-up is snug. While this gun excudes quality you cannot find today for under $20K I need to sell it to finance another gun I've recently found. Please add $50 for insured registered shipping.
