Description: Break action with double trigger / double shot. Trigger guard is bone with small crack; trap is holding four spent cartridges. The left side of the receiver is engraved with a game scene showing both a dog and birds in a wooded scene. The right side of the receiver is engraved with a game scene showing both a dog and rabbit in a wooded scene. Top of action is engraved with the bust of a stag. The remainder of the receiver is engraved with a leafy scroll. The left side is engraved "FRANKFURT A.O." and the right side is engraved "PATENT W. COLLATH." The top of both upper barrels is engraved "WITTENER EXCELSIOR." Left side of open action engraved "1217.5" (serial number), and right side of open action engraved "C12 = 9.3 X 72." The two upper barrels are 16 gauge (shotgun) and 27 in. long. The single lower barrel is 9.3 X 72 and 19.5 in. long. LOP is 14 in., and weight is approximately 10 lbs. Pre-World War II; C&R. Canvas case.
Condition: Overall very good with excellent finish. Some pitting in bores, but a good brushing should clean that out. Some nicks on action, though well finished. Missing rear and middle sights for rifle.
