Desirable 6” Colt 1849 Pocket. Manufactured in 1868 with a 5 shot cylinder. (Corrected to 5 shot)
All matching numbers. Great example of post Civil War Colt that probably traveled West.
No silver remains on trigger guard and backstrap just a nice patina. Blue is flaking but still retains 60- 70% on barrel and 80%+ on cylinder. Well defined cylinder scene with 80-90% of scene visible. Difficult to quantify % of case colors but as can be seen in photos, the frame, hammer, recoil shield and loading lever still exhibit brilliant colors.
Case is excellent with typical wear and staining on bottom of interior. Flask is very good and functional as is the Colts Patent mold. Comes with an Eley Bros cap tin for Remington Pistols.
