Description:
This is a nice Cogswell & Harrison boxlock 12 ga model which is perfect for sporting clays & going afield.
This gun has been treated to a professional restoration throughout and is still an original
2 1/2" chambered gun. Marked on top rib:
Cogswell & Harrison Ltd. 141 New Bond St & 226 Strand London.
Evidently this gun was one of a pair of game guns by virtue of the #1 engraved on the safety slide.
12ga 30" barrels with automatic ejectors. 2 1/2" chambers. IC & Light Mod chokes (ideal !!) Bores:
.722 10k choke 32k mwt
.729 16k choke 31 mwt
Unmatted concave rib with dolls head extension. Single metal bead.
Gun weighs in at an amazing 6# 10oz !!!! with incredible balance & feel with the 30" barrels.
Beautifully grained straight grip buttstock with 3 pt checkering with black solid leather covered recoil pad. Snap on splinter forend.

This gun has a lovely mirror polished black on the barrels which show very minor light handling marks. no dings or dents. Mirror bores. Very light squiggle mark blue loss on top rib near address marking. Does not detract. Top lever & long tang trigger bow nicely blacked as is the floorplate of the gun. Engraving sharp & nice all around. Receiver has been polished bright with the exception of the bottom as mentioned.
This gun is tight & operates crisply as it should. Delightful quality & a pleasure to handle with this weight & dimensions.
