Description:
This 1988 vintage (1st year production) Grade 1 Browning Citori Grade 1 Lightning .410 gauge over and under shotgun has spent almost it's entire life in storage and is in excellent all-original condition overall.  It has maybe had a box of shells shot thru it since it was bought new, and would be a 99% gun if not for a faulty de-humidifier in the room it was stored in.  As a result of some very minor surface rust that marred the finish in a few tiny spots, it grades 95%.  The factory high-gloss blue finish still looks beautiful, and the only areas that show some finish loss/discoloration mentioned before are the lower left edge of the receiver, the triggerguard and lower tang, the face of muzzles, and a just a tiny bit around the safety/barrel selector.  These areas can all be seen in the pictures provided and really dont have much of an effect on the clean and attractive look of this Citori.  The factory gold-finished single-selectable trigger still retains 98% of the original finish with only a little wear showing on the right side of the trigger.  The 28" inch barrels on this gun have 3" inch chambers, a ventilated rib with a silver bead front sight, and are choked "Modified" and "Full".  Both barrels have minty bright bores with no pitting, dents, bulges, or visible imperfections.  The ejectors are in perfect working order on both barrels.  The original checkerd Walnut stock set is in excellent condition overall.  The factory high gloss finish is still completely intact and bright, and the checkering is still clean and crisp.  The wood on both the forearm and buttstock are completely free of any cracks, chips, or repairs, and only shows a few scattered handling marks/dings/scratches from beinged around a little in a full safe.  The original black plastic Browning-branded buttplate is intact and in excellent condition.  The length of pull is the standard 14.5" inches to the end of the buttplate.  All of the controls on this shotgun work 100% like the day it left the factory 31 years ago.  The action is perfectly "on face" and still stiff and tight, and the action lever still sits to the right of center on the upper tang like a brand new gun.  This gun has yet to be broken in and still has 99% of it's usable life ahead of it before it will need the locking lugs serviced.  If you have been looking for a classy and attractive .410 over and under shotgun to take quail hunting or to the dove field this Citori Grade 1 Lightning would be the perfect choice.  You could carry this shotgun with pride into any field or lodge in the U.S. and make your hunting buddies jealous!
