LONG Barreled, Large Bored ANTIQUE Percussion Pistol
UNIQUE Engraved Pistol from the 19th Century
Here we present an antique Large Bore Percussion Pistol, made circa 1830. This pistol was likely a smooth bored musket before it was transformed into the pistol that you see. It features an almost outlandishly long barrel that is quite hefty. It begins octagonal and transitions to round around the half-way point. It also has front and rear sights. The lock is modestly engraved and the front of the stock and ramrod are tipped in horn.
The overall condition is good. The iron parts have a gray patina. The engraving is clear. The stock is in good shape. The bore is smooth and dusty. The action is strong. Here is a true 19th Century oddity for your collection!
