FOLDING HAMMER Hopkins & Allen XL8 32 Revolver C&R
EXCELLENT 20th Century Conceal and Carry
Here we present a Hopkins & Allen XL Double Action Revolver in .32 S&W, made in Norwich, Connecticut circa the early 20th Century. This revolver features 5 shots of .32 S&W, a very popular little defensive round in its day that began as a black powder loading in the 19th Century and became smokeless in the 20th. The most unique design feature of this particular specimen is the patented folding hammer spur that stayed out of the way until one needed it, in which case the shooter could use it to cock the weapon into single action mode for a shorter trigger pull.
The overall condition is excellent. The nickel finish is 95% intact. The markings are clear and legible. The hard rubber grips are in great shape, showing little to no wear. The bore is sharp and shiny. The action on this revolver is excellent.
