Description:
This is a very interesting and cool 9mm pistol made by Wise Lite Arms from a British Sterling submachine gun parts kit. The "Colefire" uses the original Sterling SMG 34-round magazines which feed thru the left side of the tubular receiver to the recoil operated semi-auto action. The Colefire is comprised of a newly manufactured tubular receiver, 4.5" barrel, and operating handle, but the remaining parts are original Sterling parts including the bolt, springs, magazine housing, sights, end-cap, and trigger group and housing with the original Sterling grips. Wise Lite modified the bolt from a slam-fire fixed firing pin to a floating spring-loaded firing pin, and cut down the recoil springs to fit the smaller tube receiver. All of the other Sterling parts were attached to the pistol just as they were. The resulting pistol is 13" inches in overall length, and weighs 4 pounds and 12 ounces with no magazine. Because of the limited number of Sterling parts kits and the large amount of work required to build these neat pistols Wise Lite did not build very many of these pistols, and only did so for a short time. As you can see from the pictures, this Colefire 9mm pistol is in excellent condition, possibly unfired. The finish rates 99%, the bore is excellent, and all of the controls are in perfect working order. If you have been looking for something different and unique for your collection that will also be a blast to shoot at the range or farm, this Sterling Colefire would be a great choice. When loaded up with a 34 round magazine you will likely get tired of pulling the trigger before the gun is empty!
