Description: *Selling from my personal collection* Rare M1886 Winchester Lightweight special order takedown pistol grip deluxe rifle, .45-70, mfg. 1910. The standard lightweight rifle came with a 22" rapid taper barrel with half magazine and shotgun butt. Additional special features of this rifle include fancy grade checkered pistol grip stock, takedown, and Lyman half-moon front sight. The rifle retains 90% very old professional refinish with clear markings throughout. It could almost pass for original finish, very well done. The wood is original finish, very dark and well figured. The toe of the buttstock and plate have been rounded slightly, otherwise there are no cracks or repairs. Original Winchester hard rubber buttplate and pistolgrip cap. Original sights, screws, hammer, lever, and trigger. The action is remarkably crisp and functions flawlessly, like new. Outstanding bore with bright and sharp rifling. This is a rare and classic Winchester that would be a dream to hunt with. All original components and in superb mechanical condition.
