Personal Check with hold Description: This Historical U.S. Cavalry Model 1873 Colt Single Action Army comes with a "Kopec" authentification letter . It is .45 caliber, 7.5" barrel. The  walnut Grips are very good and show faint remnants of original  Ordnance Inspector cartouches!   The metal finish has  turned a natural dark brown patina throught. Even the cylinder chambers reflect this browned condition.  Has crisp action and indexes properly. Has all 4 clicks and locks up tight.  Serial number is #84318  and all numbered parts match. Also, the inspector markings " "D.F.C.", can be found in all the appropriate locations.   Also ,has the "S.C." stamping on the butt-strap for the "South Carolina Militia". Manufatured in 1882. . All serial numbers match, including  the cylinder, which bears the last 4 digits "4318", of the serial number.  The bore is well-rifled and shows  some very light  pitting.  In John Kopec's Book, "Cavalry & Artillery Revolvers", page 141 describes the South Carolina Issues. This Revolver is one of those described and listed as to having the "S.C." stamping on the butt-strap. .
