Description:
This Smith & Wesson Model SW1911 is a full-size 5" inch barrel model in stainless steel with textured hardwood laminate grips. This pistol features a checkered frontstrap, undercut triggerguard, a full-length guide rod, a commander style hammer, a checkered flat mainspring housing, and front and rear slide scalloping. The fixed sights are low-profile 3-dot combat sights, and the trigger is a skeletonized adjustable model. This is a very nice 1911 with a lot of top-end features and excellent fit and finish. The SW1911 has proven itself to be tough, accurate, and reliable, even with multiple type of ammunition. This particular SW1911 is in excellent condition overall, showing only some very light handling marks on the slide and frame. As you can see from the pictures, these marks do not detract much at all from the clean overall look of this Smith & Wesson. The bore is minty and mirror-bright in this gun, with no pitting, erosion, or imperfections visible. The rifling still looks brand-new with sharp lands and grooves. The factory grips are in like-new condition and do not show any wear, and both sides are free from any cracks, chips, or repairs. All of the controls on this Smith are in perfect working order and feel crisp and new. The slide to frame fit is excellent without any slop, and the action is smooth and precise when worked by hand. The trigger is exceptional on this SW1911 for a production gun, after just a little take-up the trigger hits a wall, and after increasing your finger pressure a little it breaks like a glass rod without any grit or excessive travel. This Smith & Wesson comes with the original box, the owner's manual, 2 factory 8-round magazines, and a bushing wrench. If you have been looking for a top-quality 1911 without breaking the bank this stainless steel SW1911 would be an excellent choice.
