Massachusetts Arms Co.., Chicopee Fall , Mass. Maynard Primed Pocket Revolver. Marked , "MASS.ARMS CO./CHOPEE FALLS", is marked on top of frame, 0n the bullet mold and on the correct powder measure flask. Some on top of frame , is worn off with age. Maynard Priming Device is on frame. It is marked on primer door,"MAYNARD'S PATENT 1845". Total production about 900! Has a 2.5" octagon barrel. Very Good bore. O.A.L.is 6". Has a Hand-revolved cylinder; button release mounted inside the trigger guard. Made in 1851-1860. This one is .28 caliber. Cylinder and frame with etched floral designs. 6 shot . Walnut grips showing a small loss on top back of right side panel. This comes in a nice locking hardwood case with assessories, brass bullet mold, cleaning rod and brass powder flask. Has the original key but the lock needs repairs. Lock and hinges are brass. Case is approx. 8.5" by 4.5" by 2". I can find no markings on the case. The frame screw is a little loose and needs adjustment.
