Payment Types Accepted: Description: US Indian Wars Pattern 1874 Hazen Cavalry Cartridge Slide Loops Like the Pattern 1874 Dyer cavalry carbine cartridge pouch there often seen in very good to new condition, and were never put into full production for what ever reason. For this reason they/re quite scarce and sought by collectors. I believe the slides were a short lived transitional piece of accouterment until the cartridge belt was issued. Food for thought. The Pattern 1874 Hazen's cavalry cartridge slide was manufactured at the Benicia and Watervliet Arsenals. This particular slide is nicely stamped “US Arsenal Benicia” on the center belt loop and is in overall very nice condition more than likely unissued. Some minor surface wear on the outer edges of cartridge loops from storage. Very good form, supple leather and tight stitching. The slide is in remarkable condition for its age, and once again I don’t believe it was ever issued for field service. Just no evidence and I would expect noticeable exterior wear from being on a belt in the field. PRICE TO SELL….Wont find one cheaper on ebay right now. You won’t be disappointed in this remarkable piece of Indian Wars US history. Displays quite well especially with other early Indian War accouterments. Regularly cleaned and treated with Picards Leather Dressing. SOLD |
