Early 20th Century Hammerless Conceal and Carry
Here we present a C&R Hopkins & Allen “Forehand Model 1901” .38 S&W Hammerless Double Action Revolver, made circa 1905 in Norwich, Connecticut. The “Forehand Model of 1901” was introduced by Hopkins & Allen in 1901 after it acquired the Forehand Arms Company factory in about 1899/1900. It is generally accepted that this model was discontinued about 1910 when the Hopkins & Allen “Safety Police” model was introduced. This very concealable double action revolver holds 5 shots of .38 S&W.
The overall condition is excellent. 95% of the original nickel finish remains. The markings are clear and legible. The hard rubber grips are in excellent condition, showing little to no wear. The bore is clear and bright with strong rifling. The action on this revolver is excellent.
