NOS Unfinished Turkish Mauser Model 1938 Rifle Stock #5
Stock is New Old Stock. Never had a barrel or action in it or finished. Wood is Birch. Been in a warehouse since the 1950's collecting dirt & dust. Recently rough sanded. Stock was black with dirt & needed a light sanding just to determine the condition. Brown you see in the barrel channel & action recess is not finish but colored from age & dirt & was not sanded. I have worked up a few of these for my own use. I found they may need some very light inletting for proper barrel & action fit. Some just dropped in. Butt plate needs to be fitted. Final shaping on the outside, final sanding & of course finishing. There may be the odd nick or small chip missed at picture taking but nothing that cannot be overcome in the final work up. The stock you will receive is the one in the picture. Please do your homework & ask questions before to be sure this is the stock you need. At $18 shipping, I cannot afford shipping the stock back & forth around the country. NO RETURNS.
