Description:
Holland & Holland Royal .303 side lock double rifle with case. Barrel features a hooded ramped front sight and three leaf (two folding) rear sights. There are three holes drilled into the rib for scope base mounting. "HOLLAND & HOLLAND 9 NEW BOND STREET LONDON" imprinted on right barrel and "WINNERS OF ALL THE "FIELD" RIFLE TRIALS, LONDON" on the left. Sling swivel eye mounted under rib and on the stock. Break lever, barrels, and trigger guard are blue, remaining parts are case hardened. All metal plates, levers, locks and trigger guard are engraved with H&H style fine and broad scroll designs. Bottom of frame is marked "THE ROYAL/HAMMERLESS" while both side plates have "HOLLAND & HOLLAND". Double triggers,tang mounted gold SAFE, and cocking indicators. Pistol grip stock with enraved metal grip cap, buttplate, cheekplate, and gold oval inscribed "crown/E&W". Comes with Buelher scope base and green lined case with Holland & Holland label. This rifle is in very fine condition.
