This is a Copy of a Smith & Wesson Model 3 Russian by the Luwig & Loewe Co. This Revolver, is a Model 3 Russian. Caliber is .44 S&W Russian caliber, Serial Number . 6761 , Matching numbers on cylinder, Barrel and Grip Frame. Bore shows rifling with pitting through out. Top Ribbed Barrel length is 6-1/2". Magazine holds six rounds. Barrel rib signed "LUDW. L0EWE & Co. WAFFEN- & MUMITIONS-FBRIK, BERLIN" and Serial Number #6761, and behind it is the acceptance mark "RA" encircled . All Silver to Grey Patina , spots of cleaned areas and a spotted finish. Manufactured 1874-1878. Dark, smooth walnut grip panels. Action is strong and indexes properly and locks up tight.
