Introduced in 1998, the Kahr K40 Compact Elite 98 Stainess pistol in .40 S&W quickly earned a reputation as being an excellent carry pistol. This model displays excellent fit and finish and is made of the finest materials. The K40 Compact Elite 98 Stainless is an upgraded version of the original K40 Compact Stainless and features a high polish slainless slide and a specially designed combat trigger with a shorter stroke and lighter pull weight than the original model. It has a 3.5" inch barrel and utilizes a double-action only locked-breech semi-auto action with a Browning-style recoil lug. The factory grips are wrap-around textured black rubber and are very comfortable. This Kahr pistol has combat-style drift-adjustable sights with a white dot front and a notched rear blade with a white bar located under the notch for quick alignment. The factory magazines have a 6-round capacity for a total of 7 rounds of the powerful .40 S&W onboard with one in the chamber in this small pistol. The pistol weighs in at 24.1 ounces and is 6" inches long and under 5" inches tall. This particular example is very lightly used and in excellent condition overall. The stainless finish only shows some very tiny handling marks visible only under close inspection. The bore is in superb shape with perfect sharp rifling and no visible wear or imperfections. All of the controls are in perfect working order. This Kahr should shoot 100% like the day it left the factory. This K40 Compact Elite 98 Stainless comes with the original box, manuals, and extra factory magazine. Priced at $425 this like-new K40 Elite 98 is a bargain when a standard model K40 will run over $600 new.
