Description:
This is a 36 Caliber Police Model and is 36 caliber and closely resembles the Colt 1862 Police. This one is marked Metropolitian Arms Co. New –York and only 1600 were made and are found from serial number 1950 and 2400 and 2400-3850. This model is considered a secondary U.S. Martial Arm and is far more rare than a Colt 1862 Police. It is a 5 shot 4.5” barrel and this one even has British Proof marks. It retains 80% blue 80% case colors. This one has all matching numbers including the wedge. The mechanical function is very good sharp and crisp. The bore is excellent, bright and shinny with strong rifling.
