Original Lawrence Patent rear and post front sights. All matching in the 52,xxx serial range. Complete all original example in very good to fine condition. Fully U.S. Ordnance inspected with small Sub-inspection letter stamps on the appropriate parts and a visible Ordnance Inspector’s cartouche on the stock wrist. Frame stamped “SPENCER REPEATING/RIFLE CO. BOSTON/PAT’D MARCH 6, 1860”. 40-50% blue on barrel evenly mixed with plum patina. Frame with faded grey case hardening. Stock and forend lightly cleaned and varnished with nice cartouche and old of the period initials “PW” carved on the left side of the butt. Perfect working order and surprisingly excellent bore.
