Frame stamped “ADDRESS/POULTNEY & TRIMBLE/BALTIMORE U.S.A.” and “SMITH’S PATENT/JUNE 23, 1857”. All matching in the 9xxx range and 100% original with 70% plus blue and case hardening. Fine screws with much original blue. Left side of barrel stamped with U.S. Ordnance Inspector stamp “LFP”. Stock and forend with the original finish and a very fine fully legible pair of U.S. Ordnance Inspector’s cartouches on the left wrist of the stock. Perfect working order and mint bore.
