EXCELLENT CIVIL WAR BURNSIDE PERCUSSION U.S. CAVALRY CARBINE CIRCA 1863-4. 22” round .54 caliber barrel with original factory front and rear sights. All matching serial numbers in the 7,xxx range.100% original in every respect. Excellent with 90% plus original blue and case hardening colors. Excellent screws with most of the blue. Stock and forend with the original finish. Fully U.S. Ordnance inspected with all the correct Army Sub-inspector’s stamps on the proper metal parts and two perfect Ordnance Inspector’s cartouches on the left wrist of the stock. Perfect working order and bright bore with excellent rifling. Famously used by the 1st Texas U.S. Cavalry Vols. As well as many other Union Cavalry Regiments
