U.S. Springfield Model 1842 Musket. Barrel has a brown patina. Lock plate has pin prick pitting and a date of 1848. Stock is very good with a sharp cartouche and minor handling wear. Musket has a reproduction Civil War sling. Overall a great-looking musket!
