Description:
Serial #1047993, .30-06, 26" barrel with a very good bore that has some mild freckling within the grooves. This rifle has an undated, WW2, “JA/(flaming bomb)" marked, Johnson Automatic field replacement barrel and retains approximately 85-90% of the WW2 parkerized finish on most of the metal with silvering and gray fading along the high edges and projections. The original “E" marked Eddystone bolt, trigger guard and floorplate, and barrel band were nickel plated for parade use at some point, and retain practically all of their nickel finish. The “E" marked, Eddystone stock has been arsenal refinished to fine condition with an added oil finish over lightly sanded wood, and a faint, but legible, “AAM" rebuild cartouche on the left side. The handguard likewise has an added oil finish and some small handling marks and bruises. This is a nice looking example of a rebuilt Eddystone Enfield and is in about good plus-very good condition overall. FFL or C&R
