SUPERIOR AND MATCHING GERMAN MAUSER MODEL 1871 BOLT ACTION 11X60 CAL. INFANTRY RIFLE DATED 1884 W/BAVARIAN ARTILLERY REGIMENTAL MARKINGS. 33 ½” round barrel. Octagonal receiver crisply struck serial number and "J.G. m/71" which stands for "Infanterie Gewehr Model 71" ("J" is "I" in German). 100% original and with all matching numbers. All bolt parts numbered and match. Even has all the original numbered(matching) screws. Breech of barrel stamped “CROWN/AMBERG” for the Royal Bavarian Armory. Heal of butt plate stamped “B./2 A.F./8.112” (Bavarian 2nd Regt. Foot Artillery, 8th Battery, 112th gun). Excellent overall with the barrel having much original blue. Receiver with lightly patinated original brush polished finish. Stock with the original finish and two excellent Ordnance Inspector’s stamps on the right side of the butt along with all the Crown acceptance stamps on underside(never sanded so crisp). Structurally the stock is perfect with NO cracks or hairlines. Mint bore and perfect working order. Superior example.
