Description:
This is a .36 Caliber bullet mold for the Savage and North Figure 8 revolver and the Savage Navy revolver. These molds were not marked and have straight legs. There is an excellent photograph of on in the Rowe and Curtis book “Reloading Tools of the Black Powder Era" on p233. Ken Thomsen in his article “History the Savage Revolving Firearms Company" noted that one bullet mold was shipped with every two Navy pistols. It is in good to very good condition with the metal surface turned to a plum gray color with the numerous marks and dings from use. Holes were drilled into the bottom of each leg and do not appear to be front he original production. Please see the photographs for further information on condition.
