Description:
Serial #2190, 12.17 x 44mm CF, 37 1/2" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has traces of very mild freckling within the grooves. This is a Husqvarna-made, “H" marked rifle that has an overall mottled gray patina, with a large area of darker plum-brown along the barrel, as well as some mild freckling on the frame. The rifle has nearly all-matching numbers (the buttstock is from a different rifle) with the blonde wood having a nice added military oil finish over numerous small handling marks and minor blemishes. These rifles were made with a short guide bar on the muzzle and could therefore mount either a sword, or socket bayonet. The ramrod is no longer present. This is a very good-fine example of a Swedish-made Rolling Block, in excellent mechanical condition and would make a nice addition to any collection of late 19th century military rifles. Antique
