you can feel how well made   and precise the mechanics are . This unique pistol   has the  sliding barrel and cylinder to  facilatate  easy loading . This has tight lock up an no wobble in cylinder. the balance is perfect. I would think this would of been carried by a Pinkerton  for protection.  The bore shows shine and deep rifling  which is remarkable for a revolver thats 140 years old.The finish is 88% Nickle with minimal loss  it does  show   staining in the  receiver area this gives the revolver a  pleasing ambiance  so you know this is  old. The back strap is shows no nickle is bare metal   from  acids  an salt in  the human hand. The dog  head grips  are just perfect no chips or cracks appear to be original to this revolver.. Ammo can still be purchased  low volume Black powder at Bertrams or smokless has to be lighter load. Circa this beautiful peice of history is about 1870.  I ship to the world where allowed
