Description:
SCARCE transition era Winchester 70 Super Grade in 22 Hornet. S/N 57xxx with matching bolt mfg. 1946. Rifle is in excellent condition showing about 96% Blue and Varnish overall. This rifle retains certain Pre War features such as matted rear bridge and clover leaf tang. Factory installed Lyman 48 WJS and correct filler plug in barrel dovetail. A very high quality and perfectly functioning correct period Tilden safety has been installed in favor of the standard (and for some, awkward) top mounted flag safety. The barrel is 24" with excellent bore and wearing a ramped Lyman full-length gold bead front sight. All inner components are correct and the chamber is guaranteed NOT to have been reamed to K hornet or any other caliber.
