Description:
This is a nice older Savage 1895 Rifle. Comes with a Savage Historian Letter. It has had some professional repairs to the right tang area of the butt stock. All numbers match the Serial Number #6743. on the receiver. Butt plate and Butt stock end. The barrel has the "JM" mark for the "MARLIN" Company who made the barrel. The original forend has no marking on the back side, which is correct for the 1895 Model Savage. Has a Round 26" barrel with a very strong rifled bore. The receiver has a hole in the top of the bolt that is the cocking indicator. Hole on left side of receiver is for the cartridge counter. Safety is on right side of lever. Receiver, and barrel are all Blue to Brown Patina with traces of case color on lever and buttplate. Has a Brass Blade Rocky Mountain front sight and a Marlin Style 3.5" semi-buckhorn rear sight with the "Harpoon" elevator. Has a Brass Rotor and counter. Action is strong and functions like it should and locks up tight.Everything looks to be all original to the gun..Buyer Pays $45.00 shipping to the lower 48 states.
