Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: This is a beautifully restored World War 1 vintage 1918-dated D.W.M. Artillery Luger in 9mm Luger caliber. Considered one of the coolest Lugers ever made by collectors and shooters alike, the Artillery Model Luger features a 8" inch barrel and an adjustable rear sight with graduations out to 800 meters, and was designed to be attached to a shoulder stock that also doubled as a holster. This weapon was designed for artillery crewman as a portable weapon that when attached to the stock, could serve as a carbine with much more accuracy and firepower than a pistol alone could provide. This particular gun is all matching except for the magazine, which has been made-up and numbered to the gun but is not an original magazine to this gun. At some point in the last 100 years (likely the last 20 to 30 years) this Artillery Luger was restored to the beautiful condition you see now, and whomever did the resto did a very professional job. All of the original factory stampings and German inspectors marks are still nice and crisp, and all of the serial numbers and factory proofmarks are clean. The blue finish rates 98% plus, with a very consistent and glossy look to it throughout. The strawed parts (yellow finish) are also very attractive and rate 95% with lots of bright color still showing on the trigger, safety lever, take-down lever, mag release, and ejector. The bore in this D.W.M. is certainly a good shootable bore with plenty of rifling left, but it does show shallow pitting throughout. The checkered Walnut grips on this Luger are beautiful and in excellent condition, free from any cracks, chips, or repairs. All of the controls on this gun are in perfect working order, and the semi-auto toggle action is slick and precise. We have no doubt this Artillery Luger will shoot just as well today as it did in 1918. If you have been looking for one of these neat Lugers for your collection that you can both shoot and admire, this D.W.M. 1918 Artillery Luger would be the perfect choice. It is not often that we get one of these that is this attractive and affordable that you can actually shoot without feeling bad about it!
