Description:
This Winchester was produced in 1915. The carbine's serial number is 801178. It has the standard 20 inch barrel. The bore is in very fine bright condition with no pitting or wear. The sights are the correct sights for this carbine. The stock is the correct gumwood stock. The stock has the original finish and has not been redone. The left side by the wrist shows being used with the saddle ring. This is consistant with ranch use on horse back. There is no cracks or splits with the stock and forend. The action works smoothly. This gun has been refinished some time ago. The polish work is done very well. The screw heads have not been flattened or buffed. The corners are sharp. The lettering is sharp with no surface loss. The side bolts are in the "white" This is a very decent refinish job that did not damage the gun's apperance. This carbine should be a real pleasure to shoot. It also shows honest ranch use. Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details.
