Description:
Produced to Orvis specifications by Chapuis Arms of France, a maker well known for unique designs and strong, substantial actions. The Orvis Classic side by side shotgun has a rounded, fancy-back action, nicely figured European walnut stocks, with a very strong and significant parallel locking action with a huge locking lug similar to the Browning Superposed shotguns that were made in Belgium.
The Orvis Classic is advertised as being available in standard dimensions, which includes a 28” set of barrels. This particular gun was custom ordered with a set of 30” barrels. This gun has been used only a few times and still retains 100% of the original factory finishes on wood and metal. It comes in the factory supplied Negrini protective case with all the original paperwork. The gun weighs a very nimble 6lbs. 3oz. even with the long slender barrels. The 30” barrels are proof tested for steel shot, have factory 3” chambers, and are choked IC/LM for your upland hunting and perfect sporting clays chokes. What a great opportunity to own an “as new” Orvis Classic with special order barrels for a great price and no waiting for delivery! There are no others like this one, so it will not last long. If you like long-barreled, small bore guns with gorgeous wood and modern steels, then don’t hesitate on this one. It won’t last long with the upcoming hunting season upon us.
