This Winchester was produced in 1917. The rifle's serial number is 499980. It has the standard 20 inch barrel that can shoot the 22 Short, Long And Long Rifle. The sights are the original standard sights. The stock is gum wood and retains all of the original finish. The pump handle is hard wood and also retains the original finish. The stock and pump handle are in very fine condition with nice color and looks. The bore is in very fine condition showing little use. The barrel and magazine blue would rate a 96% original finish. The reciever would rate a 88% original finish. The bolt retains almost all the original bluing. The original buttplate is in near new condition. The take down feature is tight with no play. The action locks up snug and works smoothly. This is certainly a very fine condition Model 1906! Most of these models saw rough usage and care. This Winchester was well cared for and kept clean.
