QUALITY CONSIGNMENTS WANTED! This Colt was produced in 1956. The pistol's serial number is 4706 SA. It is fitted with a 5 1/2 inch barrel. The cylinder is properly serial numbered to the assembly serial number. This pistol is as new and shows some of the original shipping grease. There is no sign of being cocked or played with. The original hard rubber grips are serial numbered to the pistol. The only blemish is a very slight discoloration at the very end of the ejector housing. The color cased finish is very bright and vivid. There is no color case finish loss. The factory blue would rate a 99% finish. The color cased finish would rate a 100% finish. The hard rubber grips have no damage or diamond point flattening. The original box has the label intact. The contents include the original brush, wrapping paper, warranty, Handling The Handgun pamplet and instruction pamplet. The bottom of the box shows outline in red pencil, the serial number. It is very faded and hard to make out. The box is sound with no repairs. The inside of the box shows scuffing from the hammer tip. The box does show some age which is to be expected. This is a very nice first year pistol from the reintroduction of the Colt Single Action Army after World War Two. There was only the 38 Special and the 45 Colt calibre introduced during that first year. Also, Colt only made 5 1/2 and 7 1/2 inch barrels during the early production of this model. The 38 Special is much harder to find today. This is a great high quality Single Action with the original box for the serious collector. The new condition would be very hard to match for color case finish and bluing as well as the original box and accessories. Search for hlvfineguns on google.
